Why is my fan coming on but no overheating indication on gauge
My 308 1.6 150 bhp radiator cooling fan is coming on but temperature gauge is reading normal at 90C. This happens usually after a 10 mile journey on dual carriage way at about 70-80mph. I usually hear the fan ON when first stopped at built up traffic entering town. I'm not sure when fan starts during the 10 mile "fast" journey. I tested car on driveway at idle and waited for temperature to go to stable at 90C, fan did not come on. Can you help?

when the sensor reaches the temp calibrated for the fan to operate, it will come on and will go off when it is cooled down to the spec programmed in the computer.
the other is ac, it will come on once the high side is 150 lbs.
