Car listed above GTS model. One day the battery died, jumped the car, went to local auto parts store. They checked the battery and it was dead. Bought new battery. Engine light came on with a p0725 code (engine speed sensor). When I start the car now I hear 3 clicking sounds like coming from the starter. This happens when I leave the key in the on position before starting the car. I drove the car to work today and did not noticed anything out of the ordinary apart from that clicking sound that was not there before I replaced the battery. Any ideas?

Try erasing the codes and retest if the code comes back. As to the clicking noise, you need to locate the source and go on from there.

I was told it’s a crankcase position sensor, but when I replaced it and cleared out the codes 2 days later it’s back on again.

How many mile are on it, also does it seem to run with full power? I have seen the timing chain go out causing this issue, also did you use an OEM sensor?
