I am thinking of purchasing a flood damage Mercedes R320CDI ( I could not find the model listed in the heading). Would it be safe to say to change all electrical wiring and brain computers from a wreck vehicle to have longevity with this vehicle?

Estimate hours of labor?

Flood damaged cars.... Hit or miss. If the car was fully submerged for an extended period of time I would pass on the car. To replace the ENTIRE electrical system/switches ect. isnt worth the time/cost that it will take. Unless you are willing to find a wrecked car of the exact same model to switch it ALL over. You will have electrical problems down the road if you don't. Its why the usually total the car. Then again I have known people who bought flooded cars that were not submerged and haven't had an issue..... in my opinion its not worth it
