LEXUS ES 350 STEERING PROBLEM

2008 Lexus ES 350 • 90,000 miles

I slid into a curb & split one of my boots on my steering. Is this something I can replace myself?

As you will require a front end alignment as well it may be easier to get a mechanic to do the job, if you wish to do it, remove the wheel, remove the steering tie rod from the steering arm and unscrew the tie rod from the rack arm, you need to count the number of turns it come off so you can get it back as close as possible when re fitting.
