My 2008 ford fiesta is underpowered. The car left me on the highway for the second time last weekend.
It feels like the car doesnt get enough air and as a result the car floods. My caar also has a flat spot and someone told me that this is a result of wrong Spark Plugs. Is this possible?

What makes you think it floods? Maybe it starves? Does black smoke come out the back exhaust? That would indicate too rich. No check engine light? So does car start back up later? How often does this happen?

That is possible aswell. It only happened twice. There is no black smoke. The weird part is that it does not show any lights on the dashboard. The day it happens, I can start and rev it but as soon as I start driving again it happens all over again. Thanks for helping me.

What is the flat spot? Rpm limit? And you say you have no dash warning lights? Even when you go to start before it runs. And those little cars, are they even suppose to go on the highway? Ha!

Im From South Africa and here it is not too bad a car. Haha! But I totally agree. It is way to small. When you press the accelerator the revs only pick up after a delay? Do you know what that can be?

I'm reading reviews from all over and I noticed the different engines available. The 1.4 gets some pretty bad reviews! Hesitation problems and sluggish acceleration especially with air cond on. Only the diesel seems well liked! A few good remarks from some lucky trouble free owners. Snazzy lookin little thing.
