Don't push so hard on the gas pedal. Don't let it warm up so long when it's cold.

Pulling trlr is worse 5to6 mpgif can't fix problem well trade it off was a good truck

To use that much fuel would have to be pretty obvious at the tail pipe. Has the Check Engine light turned on? If it has, there's a diagnostic fault code stored in it. That will indicate the circuit or system that needs further diagnosis.

Also look for a vacuum leak. The oxygen in the extra air will be detected by the oxygen sensors as a lean condition, and the Engine Computer will respond by commanding more fuel to go into the engine. No matter how much more fuel it keeps requesting, there will still be that extra oxygen. Oxygen sensors don't detect too much fuel, just the amount of oxygen.
