BMW 535i Door Problem
I wanted to upgrade the rearview mirror in my car to one with garage door opener. I purchased a salvage mirror and installed it but how do I know if it works? It installed very easy. The red security flashes when the car is locked. But the small LED near the garage door buttons doesn't light. Is there something else needed? Regards, Gregg

If the car did not come with that type of mirror it will not work, it has to have a garage door transponder in the system, your car does not have this, it is quite expensive to add this option. Thanks for using 2CarPros

If only it were that easy, installation of the mirror is only the most visible step, there are electronic components that are associated with the GDO that will be required.
