2007 Volkswagen Golf Repair Question

Volkswagen Golf Noise Problem
When I drive my car between 50-70 kph. And in 4th or 5th gear so the revs are at about 2000rpm. If I slightly tap the excelarator The car makes a strange thumping noise. It's quite faint have to have my radio and AC switched off to hear it. It seems that it's coming from the front left tire. Or basically where the passengers feet would be. What is the problem?

Take it to a garage to have someone test drive the car... where I work, we offer free test drives, I'm sure you can find a shop that offers them as well.
We can not hear or feel your problem with a monitor and keyboard.
