After a 30 minute drive to work my 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix did not want to start. I hope its just the battery as it started right up after cooling down for 3 hours. Your thoughts?

It cranked and turned over then there was this clicking noise and the clock lost its setting as if there was a power failure. I have not checked for codes as of yet.

You need to check for codes first then make sure the battery cables are clean and tight have the battery and alternator tested.
