NISSAN MAXIMA FUEL INJECTOR PROBLEM

2007 Nissan Maxima

My car has about 82000 miles on it now and when I went to the dealer last (when it had 77000) they recommended a fuel injector cleaning. I looked online and most people tell me not to pay the dealership $180 and to just put one of the fluid cleaners in, but I'm unsure and don't want to make the wrong decision. What would you recommend.

Todays fuel has been designed for fuel injection, Some station has a warning sign about carburetors, that the fuel is designed for fuel injectors, and carburetor leakage at the seams can occur, Todays fuel has detergents, in it. To do fuel injector cleaning is up to you, If don't have a drivability problem concerning the fuel injectors, you may not need it. As long as the vehicle is in fuel control.
