My battery recently went completely dead as I had not driven the car in a month or so. (It was the original battery that came with the vehicle.)

Mercedes Benz Roadside came to my house and replaced the battery with another OE Mercedes battery and checked the charging system 14.3 volts. No problem with the alternator and car cranked back up no problem. The tech reprogrammed the power windows but here's my problem:

The mufti-function display is no longer readable. It works because when I turn the ignition off, it gets dark enough to see (but still not back to the way it was originally before the battery died) but when I restart the engine, the display pretty much "whites out".

My question: is there a way for the dealer to pull the dash and simply replace a bulb or two> Or are they going to tell me "Sorry, there isn't any bulb to replace because this is an :LED display and you have to replace the entire display unit in the instrument panel"?

Thanks!

It sounds as if it may be a back light that has blown, many dash units use led lights and these are back lit to illuminate, get some feed back from the dealer on this one.
