Hyundai h 100 2007 diesel engine running very rough, no power feels unbalanced

Whilst driving engine lost power and started knocking. stopped driving let engine cool down restarted no problem. 10 min later started making noise again and cut out. towed home starts but runs very rough. temp gauge normal but block felt very hot and no warning lights on dash board.no problems before this incident ran perfect.

Start with a compression test, you will need a special compression tested, as diesel compressions are extreme compared to petrol engines, and there will be an adaptor to screw into the glow port, if you do this your self, you will have to crack all the injector lines so the engine will not try and fire, if in doubt get a mechanic to do this test.

Injector could be sticking try loosening the fuel line to the injector on by one
