My air conditioner went on the fritz last summer it started blowing out warm air instead of cold. Right before it stopped blowing cold air fog like air was coming out of the air vents. I had the freon charged and it didn't really take the charge all the way according to a mechanic. He said I have to replace everything, air compresser, condenser, dryer and expansion block and do a flush. He said everything has to be replaced otherwise the air conditioner will not work properly. Is this true? Is there anything else I can check out on my own so I don't have to do this total air conditioner replacement? Thanks
