Holden Calais Mechanic Problem
Stretched drive train, I was told by the mechanic that this is a common problem with this model and may be subject to a recall by holden

I don't know where you are but here in the US, recalls are only made for 2 reasons, either a safety failure or an emissions failure. Regular mechanical failures are never subject to recall although manufacturers sometimes will have what''s called a "campaign" where they may willing help with repairs.
