2007 Ford Freestyle - traction light comes on and stays on until turning the car off

After driving a short while, the traction control dash light comes on and doesn't go back off until turning off the ignition

Have it scanned for codes and let us know what you find out.

No. Parts store or local shop. Most will do it for free. Call first to see who will and won't do it for free.

I took the car to get the oil changed and had them scan it at the shop. They were not able to pull any codes.

Did they pull soft codes as well as hard codes? Most shops have to be told, or asked, specifically, to look for soft codes, since those don't set the CEL permanently.

Let them know you need to check specifically for DEM codes.
