2007 Ford Explorer Repair Question

Ford Explorer Brakes Problem

I change brake pad front and bake, when the suv sit for 4 hrs or so, i start out and the brakes grind I pump the brakes an about half a block the sound quit. does this ever time i start out..

You may have installed higher-quality linings. They are often harder than the originals and that noise is a common side effect until they get warm.

Did you have the rotors machined? If not, the edges of the linings could be riding on a ridge of rust. That will wear off in time.
