won't start

07 Dodge 1500 RAM Hemi will not turn over when i turn the key but if i jiggle the shifter it starts some times. The truck runs perfect other wise nothing else wrong.

Check the transmission range switch/sensor-

The transmission range sensor will only allow the engine to start in "park" or "neutral". Slowly move the shifter through all the ranges as you hold the key in the "engine start" position and see if the starter engages around park and/or neutral position. This will check if there is a problem with the shifter cable position and/or transmission range sensor as the previous post states.
