MY CHEV. HAS AN ANNOYING FLAPPING SOUND COMING FROM THE A/C BLOWER HOUSING AREA UNDER THE DASH.

2007 Chevrolet Impala • 30,000 miles

If you turn everything to max cooling the noise goes away immediately. Sometimes you can just touch the car (no ignition turned on, not sitting in the car) and the flapping starts. It will then go off in a minute or so. Help?

No varmint. Been doing this for 6 months. Always does it when you first start the engine, if you don't turn the a/c to max, it will stop in a few minutes.

I would guess hvac door cycling but you say it does it even OFF? That seems strange.

Either the hvac blend door aor temp door or something in the blower wheel. Un plug just the blower motor and see if you still hear it if you do start checking blend doors
