Why would my dash info, horn and wippers gor crazy when I went to stare my car?

Went to start car and when I turned the key car would not start and all hell broke loose the wippers turned on the horn was sounding the dash lit up like the fourth of July and it would not turn over or start. Had to have it towed in. Help!

THE EZist THING TO CHECK IS YOUR BATTERY VOLTAGE, WITH AN INEXPENSIVE DIGITAL VOLTMETER. THIS MAY IMMEDIATELY LET YOU KNOW IF YOU HAVE A BATTERY OR CHARGING ISSUE.
THEN ON TOP OF THAT HAVE YOUR CHARGING SYSTEM AND A MORE IN DEPTH BATTERY TEST (THESE CAN USUALLY BE DONE AT A POPULAR AUTO PARTS STORE FOR FREE)

LET US KNOW WHAT YOU COME UP WITH, OR WANT MORE ASSISTANCE
