Is it normal to be 3 qts. of oil after an oil chg, 6000 mi. ago ?

A good engine should not be consuming any oil but depending on the type of oil used there could be some drop in level after 6000 miles with an engine of 100k mileage.
Though there is some consumption but the amount is not considered very much and if you take care of the oil level, there shuld not be any problem.
