I have a vw jetta 2006 tdi that quit on me at a red light. I took it to a mechanic that has worked on my car before. We replaced the fuel pump in the fuel tank and the tandem pump or fuel injection pump. it is getting fuel and air but will not start still. Can you give me some suggestions.

If both fuel and spark is present-check the valve and ignition timing, this will lead you to problems
with compression and valves opening and closing at the wrong time/broken or jumped timing
belt/chain.
