What is induction service for carbon removal?

Can't really understand these fancy terms used by dealers to make more $. Most probably cleaning the throttle body and air intake of dirt etc.
Cleaning the system is good but the prices they give you might not be. A DIY job might cause you less than $20 for carb cleaners.
