2006 Subaru Outback Repair Question

Subaru Outback Engine Problem
Looking at a 96 subaru outback wagon 2.5 4 cyl. $7500 that has a new japanese engine w 20,000 miles. 186,000 highway miles. Says car had a bent valve ....no accidents. Except a dented passenger door from a deer running into side of car for which they have the door.
The price seems quite good so I'm wondering what you think. with this little info.? Need to get new engine? Likely problems?

Also, what is the difference between outback wagon and legacy outback?

what has a bent valve??? the 186 motor or the 20 motor???
that much money for a car that needs a major repair????
