Scion tC Transmission Problem
My 2006 scion tc has a manual transmission. When I put it
into fifth gear, it pops out and the engine races. I can drive it
in fifth gear by holding the gear shift in place.
Does this mean that the transmission is shot? What kind of repair bill am I looking at?

Yes, that means some pretty serious internal wear. Time to change it of have it rebuilt before you do even more damage.
