License plate light

Can't seem to disconnect screws to put the new license plate bulbs in screws turn freely and don't come out, all 4 of them. Both bulbs are burned out. I went to auto zone. They couldn't get them out either. Do I have to tale off the whole inside hatchback panel? Please help me I love this site

Here are the instructions and video to get the job done.

Remove the fasteners attaching the rear license plate lamp assembly to the rear license plate lamp bezel. Lower the license plate lamp assembly from the bezel.
Rotate the license plate lamp bulb assembly counterclockwise and remove it from the housing. Pull the license plate lamp bulb out of the bulb socket. Here is a diagram (below) on how to do it on your car

Lights over license plate both out. Torques will not loosen lens
fasteners (torques coast). Fuses seem ok. Need to replace bulbs I think?Thnx

I would check the bulbs if the other parking lights work. So the screw head is stripped?
