What are signs of the Hydraulic Clutch Linkage going out in a 2006 Saturn Ion 2.4 L Manual Transmission

Shakes, When in Neutral and clutch is out makes loud screech noise and RPM go up and MPH goes up also and shakes.

It sounds like you may have a bad throw out bearing.

I forgot to add it goes into 1st gear and it will take off but it shakes terribly then when I put clutch back in it comes to a complete stop. You dont think it might be a Hydraulic Clutch Linkage?

Right. It takes off in 1st then when I push the clutch back in yes its acting like a brake

It acts like its going to but does not. When its in neutral it acts like it to but I was affraid to let it out all the way with the way it was sounding. And in neutral its revs at 1000 rpm constantly its usually around 500

Just to add to this one the idle should be higher then 500 rpms. Sounds like you have a couple of issues if it shutters with the clutch let out you have a pressure plate/clutch plate issue. Also the clutch doesnt release all the way when pushing the clutch all the way to the floor. So is the clutch pedal hard all the way going down?Or does it drop some then get hard?

ST remember I had the screech/squeek from PEDAL movement? Even though all else was fine. Although as I recall the down stroke was the worse offender in may case.

The squeaking from the pedals on those are just caused by a dry a bootwhere the clutch master goes thru.
