The coolant level is good - just doesn't blow any thing but cold (and winter's almost here)

Is the top and bottom radiator hoses getting really hot as well as both heater hoses going into the heater core in the firewall?

Not real hot - warm to the touch and a little bloated. If the radiator cap is off the radiator hoses will "burp" a little out of the neck of the radiator

Ok we replaced the thermostat and that wasn't the problem. Still doesn't blow anything but cold. Hoses still don't get hot

Sounds like you have blockage somewhere follow the heater hoses back from the heater core feeling the hoses as you go for heat.
