Pontiac G6 Starter Problem
What is the part located next to the top motor and the hose on the on the drivers side.is it the starter.when u shut the car off you hear what sounds like gears rattling

i think you are talking about the throttle body, the starter is at bottom of motor front of transmission have a pro look at it
