Sputtering exhaust noise when peugeot 207 is idle?
I have a peugeot 207 and have just started noticing that the exhaust makes a sputtering sound when the car is idle. Is this a big problem or is there some troubleshooting I can do before taking into a mechanic? thanks

we have no info for this car, but check your spark and compression if you have a compression gauge. You might also check the fule pressure as it may be missing on a cylinder, but that would give you a code with service engine light on. Also take soem choke cleaner and spary around intake to see if you have a vacuum leak, if you do the rpm will change and normally smooth out.
