While driving 15 MPH I accidently slammed the car in park, the gears grinded and came to an immediate stop, we then put it back in driv enad had no problems now about 2 weeks later, when the car gets inbetween 35-40 mph it jumps slightly and almost feels like its skipping a gear, I was told I probably broke a tooth and now need a new or rebuild my transmission is this correct?

The parking pawl is the part that may have broke.

Are you sure it is the trans and not the motor miss firing?

Ok, does not sounds related to the park issue. It may have a bad clutch pack for 4th gear
