My car has starting problems - nothing happens when I turn the key. Seems to have plenty of battery power (lights etc.) And the issue happens with both keys. I think it's either an electrical issue or a computer chip related issue. The dealership has replaced and updated the SAM module and also the main car computer but still have the problem. I would like to just disconnect the battery and let everything reset but I cannot find the battery. 2 questions - where is the battery and has anyone experienced similar problems?

The battery is located under the passenger seat pull the seat all the way forward and you can access it from behind. This sounds like an amperage draw by a component not turning off completely when the vehicle is turned off. This will easily drain your battery overnight. I would recommend having an amperage draw test done to determine this.

This guide will help with diagrams below to show you how on your car.

I suggest letting a shop do it because you need to have a saver in place to keep all your settings or it will be a chore to get the radio code, fob reprogramming and all the other systems.

Well that all depends on your definition of simple.. I attached the repair instructions that will better aid you in doing the swap. Its not to bad of a job and will prolly take about a one hour.

Move seat up and all the way forward. Move backrest all the way forward. Remove cover (2), cut carpet along dashed lines, flip carpet to the front to expose as much of battery as possible. detach air outlet(5), then remove battery cover(12), remove terminals, detach hose(11), remove nuts holding down the clamping device, remove battery and reinstall. I hope this helps - Good luck

Good luck
