Hyundai Santa Fe Noise Problem

Getting a very noticeable whirring noise when moving that increases with speed. No noise from engine when standing still either idling or when reved. Seems to be coming from the front area of the car beneath the centre console. Have tried jacking up car and turning the wheels to see if it might be bearings or brakes grinding in some way but when I spin the wheels there is no particular metalic sound. Car is driving well with no gear change problems with the automatic transmission. Any ideas of what to loook for or try?
