My transit connect has got an intermittent fault where it keeps going into limp mode'
It's fine when you first start the engine but as soon as you hit the motorway it won't rev above 2 1/2 thousand revs.
I have taken it to a local mechanic who put it on a diagnostics machine and ford told him that the code was for a turbo sensor but that still has not sorted out the problem and the mechanic thinks it might be the throttle pedal sensor but I don't want to go and buy one until I know if that might be the problem.

First, you need a new tech who does not guess. They need to do a proper diag and identify the failed part the first time.

It sounds like a fly by wire failure which could be either the throttle body or the pedal sensor. Both are expensive so get someone to pinpoint it for you.
