2006 Ford Explorer transmission

When starting first thing in morning, when I put it in drive, it hesitates for about 4 sec. Untill it goes into drive, should I get transmission oil checked? It has a sealed transmission.

Yes, get the fluid level and condition checked, anytime there is a delay in engagement you should have it checked out. If it isn't low you may still need a transmission service done.
