I have a 2006 Ford Explorer. I had a full brake job done 3 weeks ago and I have noticed a winding noice almost lilke a horn when I am nearing a stop but it goes away when I hit my brakes. Any ideas?

Recheck the brake job. On disc brakes, there is a steel sensor that is designed to warn you when the pads are worn out. It rubs the rotor and makes a squealing sound. It may be bent and touching the rotor. Also, check to make sure the backing plate behind the rotor isn't bent and hitting the rotor.
