P1200 is not listed in our database. Can you reconfirm the code?

As to the other codes, let go over them again and start with one code at a time.

Lets start with P0193.

I would try to get a simplifid version for you to perform tests.

My good friend, long time.I know u will feel bad to hear that my 2006 E-150 van is still in limp home mode with codes P2112 and p2104 left.I have read a lot about it. Some think it might be the ignition coil which is spiking the TPS and thereby giving the PCM wrong signal;let me know ur opinion on this bcos I have used another PCM to test it and the van starts fine with the same problem. What I know is very correct according to my research is that the PCM is not seeing the Throttle plate for it to command it to open;i also need ur opinion on this. Again some strongly believe the fault is from a bad TPS bcos I bought a used TB. Please comment on this too, but on this anytime I unplug the TPS sensor the van will not start.I saw an exact situation being solve on JustAnswer. Com, but could not access the answer provided on the site bcos my credit card could not be processed to pay the $3 demanded. Just try to see the website. Again someone said I can adjust the screw of the throttle plate or so with an Allen key, give your idea on this too. Finally, at ignition on without starting, and I press the accelerator, I can hear a sound like that from a transformer or stabiliser from the TB motor and this makes the throttle plate to open wide but once I start the vehicle, the sound dissapears. Please try and comment on all this so that I can take a final decision whether to go and buy a new TB or to look elsewhere. Thank very much for your concern.

Sorry, someone also suggested that in some cases the PCM need to be reprogrammed in other to see the newly installed Throttle body. What do you think. Bye. Thanks

It is no use speculating. Since the TPS is a used unit, it could be faulty as well.

I would suggest with a complete test of the circuits to determine what is at fault since the trouble codes are consistent.

I am having accessing our database to get the required testing procedures for you.

Will get back to you once I have the information.

Thanks a lot. While awaiting your test reply, I just want to know if I should rule out the possibility of engine problem in this whole issue. Do you think that I have a faulty engine since the engine power is very low and I can perceive a smell that looks like a burnt or carbon fume engine oil. Or I should look at the way of the Throttle actuator control system.

When trouble codes are present and vehicle goes into lmp mode, there would be lack of power. The trouble codes that you are getting are critical to engine performance so don't worry about the engine and get the trouble codes resolved first.

For both codes that are consistent, P2112 is the one that you should be concentrating on as it can trigger P2014.

You would have to follow the test procedures closely to get any accurate results. I have edited the procedures but some might not be for your problem and you can skip them.

The procedures are too complicated to be posted here. Let me have your email so I can send the pdf file to you.

Thanks very much. My email is muhammedbabalola@yahoo. Com. Perhaps this may just be the answer.I even opened the exhaust neck to see if it is blocked but it wasnt. Anyway the P2112 and p2104, the check engine light and the throttle wrench light on the dash is just the only problem now. Someone checked with an advance diagnostic tool and told me that the PCM is not seeing the throttle plate. Then how come the plate is opening correctly when I put on the ignition only without starting and press the pedal.

Please u did not respond to the terrible engine oil like odour I am perceiving each time the engine is idling. It is like a burnt oil smell and I noticed it often and the engine oil is low when I checked it two days ago. Let me give u a brief history. It was parked at Baltimore for about10 months March 2010, it was shipped to my country from USA, in May I took it to my destination of about 800 km and since then I have this problem, does it mean the engine oil is over due for change? Thanks

Not sure what the odor is like but it could be oil being burnt in the cylinders. If that is the case, you could have bad valve seals and there should be grey smoke from the exhaust.

It could also mean a bad catalytic converter that is emitting the smell.

I have sent the files to you. Let me know if there is anything wrong with it.

Thanks, I have seen the file. There is none for P2104. Secondly can you explain what they mean by 'refer to the appropriate fuel charging and control article' whenever they ask one to install a new ETB. Also when they say access the PCM and monitor the TP1 and TP2 PIDs I wonder what they mean by that. As for the oil, the smell comes out from the exhaust pot and it smell like exactly like the engine oil but looks like bad oil or so, but can either of the two cases you mentioned affect the engine power? Thanks once more, I will start with this tests you sent to me first.

I did not send any diagnostics for P2104 because it is scenodary. You need to get P2112 resolved first and see if P2104 comes back.

When it ask you to refer to whatever article, it means you need the information for that particular component to check/test.

Monitoring the PID means using the scan tool to check the Parameter Identification.

The oil smell could be due to oil being burnt in the cylinders or getting to the exhaust system via the exhaust valve seals. It would affect performance but not much.

Thanks a lot. Talking about the burnt smell someone told me if it smell like gasoline(fuel)coming out of the exhaust end.I said it looks like that because when I checked, it seems so, I can perceive it very well. He said hav I checked the coil on plug and I told him no bcos there is no codes of that nature. Can a bad coil cause low engine power like mine?Secondly, will a bad coil not give trouble codes since you always insist that I should be bodered by the codes. Thanks

A bad coil would have erratic idling, meaning the cylinders would be misfiring, that would definitely result in power loss.

You have a trouble code that is affecting the engine performance and you should be concentrating on this problem first. Forget about everything else. This trouble code can cause all the problems you are facing.

Thanks a lot. Take a critical look at this. At ignition on without starting and I press the accelerator the throttle plate open widely in direct proportional to my pressing.I can also hear the sound of the ETB motor. But when I start the engine and I press the pedal the engine try to rev up minimally bcos I can hear zoom sound but the engine shakes and want to off. This seems to me that the Pedal, PCM and TB are talking when I put on ignition. Even when I start it tries to raise up then engine shakes. PLease clarify this. Thanks

If you have not performed the diagnostics test for P2112, do so and let me know the results. I am only interested in this at the moment.
