Security fuse location?

Every morning the passlock sensor locks us out of the car until the engine warms up, usually about 30 minutes of trying to get it to work. Also, the check engine light comes on randomly and sometimes kicks on when the cruise control is on. We have tried the passlock 30 minute reset and it doesn't work. The alternator and battery are both new also. What is the issue?

In the 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer, the security-related fuses are typically located in the underhood fuse block. Here's how you can locate the fuse block and the specific fuse for the security system:

Open the hood of your Trailblazer and locate the fuse box. It is a rectangular-shaped box typically located near the battery or on the driver's side of the engine compartment.

Remove the cover of the fuse box by lifting the tab or using a screwdriver to pry it open.

Inside the fuse box, you will see a diagram or a label indicating the different fuse positions and their corresponding functions. Look for a reference to the security system or related components.

Use the diagram or label to identify the specific fuse associated with the security system. It might be labeled as "SEC, " "SECURITY, " "ANTI-THEFT, " or something similar.

Once you've identified the security fuse, you can use fuse pullers or needle-nose pliers to remove the fuse. Inspect the fuse visually to see if it is blown (the metal strip inside will be broken). If the fuse is blown, replace it with a new fuse of the same amperage rating.
