Hi I am wondering what is wrong with my dads 2006 Chevy SSR. The dealer said the powertrain relay was bad and also the ECM was bad to. I replaced both the dealer flashed the new ECM. I also replaced the throttle body. The dealer is saying that I never told them about the throttle body. It is on the paper work I got now they are trying to charge me for a new diagnostic I said no sir you messed up you fix it not my problem. Then he accused me that I never told him the truck would not start when I took it to them in the beginning. His tecs were aware of this. So they flashed the ECM and when I picked it up it had 350HP out of 400HP. The truck came with the tack. The dealer had no idea it had one I was like you test drove it and you didn't look. When I got it home I charged the battery for 30 minutes. I pulled the battery clamps off tried starting it and it cranked but would not fire off. I left it alone for 3 hours tried starting it it fired off. What could be causing this truck not to start. The battery and alternator are good I had them tested I replaced the powertrain relay the throttle body and also the ECM. The guy started it and said it starts fine so he took it for a drive for 5 minutes and it did good. Today they took it out drive it for awhile and brought it back they shut it off and the truck would not start. I eill call him tomorrow and said I told you so you idiot. Any suggestions. Thanks.

Insulting them does nothing for getting your truck fixed. If it was my shop, you would not be there anymore.

You should be communicating with the service advisor or manager not the techs.

You have a communcation issue here and they are reluctant to work with you due to your attitude.

Try letting them do there job before giving anymore attitude.

Oh I did they messed up. It is not my problem. I talked to the service department guy and also the tech. I am also calling the owner. If you were in my shoes and this was your car would you not be mad. They made me waste money on parts I did not work. If this was your shop and this is what happened and you said we are not helping you. I would take this to small claims court and I would win because I have all the documents and I would call the news team to come out and expose you. I have already talked to the best lawyer on the east cost and he said I would win with no problem. I am not mad at you but see would you not be mad if someone did a full diagnostics test and missed called the computer. I am out 500 dollars or more because they miss diagnosed it.

OK sean, you should not be responsible for any repair that did not fix your car. Did you contact GM customer service as they rate them on customer service and will effect there pays.

Meanwhile, with all the talks of lawyers, is the car fixed and where is it?

If it were at my shop, it would have been diaged correctly and repaired properly.

Hey I wanted to apologize for what I said. I am just at my limit. The truck is at the dealer. The car is not fixed. It is doing the same thing before the computer was changed. They started it in their lot. They did not drive it. They took it out the other day the truck died with the engine on. It would not move. So they shut it off and it would not start. They had to call a tow truck. When they got their the truck started. I will consider calling GM. Thanks for that advice. I believe in my heart that the fuel pump or the sending unit has gone bad. The truck is only getting 350hp out of 400hp. Their is a tach that gm installed in. If the sending unit or pump went bad will it throw a code. My mom keeps saying it is the ignition switch. I said no the engine would not crank. The truck cranks but won't fire off. The engine try's to turn over. Now they want to charge me another 100 to do a diagnostic I was like no it is the exact same problem when I brought it in. I have changed the throttle body the powertrain relay and the ECM which they flashed any suggestions. Thanks for the help. I whish I coul bring it to your shop and have it done correctly.
