Oil pressure gauge
The oil gauge on my 2006 chevy express 2500 van spikes to 60 on the gauge. the oil level is ok. when i shut off the motor it goes down to 0. then once the vehicle is started again it jumps right back up. could the gauge be bad.

Sounds like the oil pressure relief valve is sticking closed
Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge,if normal replace the oil pressure switch. If abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearing.
