Standard of the industry these days, particularily with GM, is the illumination of a component is serviced by component replacement. I would contact a dealer parts counter, and ask them. More than likely, it is an LED in the climate head.

I have a problem with my fan control light (2006 Equinox). I the unit apart and found out GM uses a "grain of wheat" (about 1/8 in. Dia.) Bulb soldered directly to the circuit board.
