My heater ad air conditioner only works on hi. Not sure why. Is there a fuse that went out?

usually the resistor is shot if high only. but look at the plug also for burn/melt. here's trick to save money. if the THERMISTOR is right on the end of the unit opposite plug, you can try to replace/bridge it and see if that gets it working again. although the cheap 1's are only 15$ or less. hey! penny saved is a penny earned!
