Bought vehicle used, has had a history of randomly not starting, would have to wait a few minutes finally would start. Same thing recently except for the computer was displaying "reduced power". Autozone tested, codes were TPS related, I replaced the throttle body, same as it ever was. Had my wife try to start vehicle while I jiggled the connecter to the map sensor, bingo, vehicle started right up. Still displaying reduced power. I have to repeat this process to start vehicle. My question is : could the map sensor or the connecter to the map sensor be the culprets for the not start as well as the reduced power problems.
thank you,
michael L.

First of all, what was the code?

Autozone are salesman, not techs. Codes never identify bad parts. Just failed systems.

Map sensor connector could be a issue. Is it loose or corroded?
