OUR 2006 BMW 530XI HAS BEEN OVERHEATING. WE CHANGED THE THERMOSTAT AND THE MECHANICS ARE NOW BLEEDING THE SYSTEM. THEY DID SAY THEY FOUND A CRITTER'S NEST UP THERE SNUGGLY BY THE RADIATOR. IT WAS STILL OVERHEATING WITH THE THERMOSTAT. SHOULD THE RADIATOR BE FLUSHED OR DO YOU THINK AN ANIMAL COULD BE LODGED UP IN THERE? I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO AND THEY HAVE HAD THE CAR NOW FOR 4 DAYS. HELP! MICHELLE

The problem might be the critter, what was the damage done, if any? Sometimes the rodent damage is chewing through stuff, sometimes blocking airflow. Having just advised a local shop on the correct bleeding and start-up procedure for the same (or similar) make and model, I have a concern that the repair facility you have the car at may be ignorant of these procedures.
