I noticed My fan only worked on no4. At the same time I notices à wet floor in the passenger footwell , I went under the bonnet and cleared some leaves out from under the windscreen wipers, it was full of water. I think it was where the pollen filter was. Situated. I've also noticed the cruise control isn't working. I think this is all linked can somebody please help. Thank you.

Both simple problems, had them both on my Vectra, one causes the other.
Pull the rubberseal up under the bonnet on the passenger side, there is a trap door to access the pollen filter. Open the trap door and delve into the water, there is a rubber funnel pointing downwards behind the engine that will be clogged with leaves and slime. Push the leaves down the funnel with your fingers and you should find that the water in the pollen filter drains rapidly behind the engine. Someone has posted a Youtube video explaining it. Zero cost and literally under 2 minutes to do.

The fan only running on setting 4 is agravated by the previous issue, you need to remove glove box and access the resistor which is mounted in the air stream from the interior fan. Repaired ones are available on Ebay for about  15, I bodged my original one myself.

Cruise control can play up if clutch pedal microswitch is a bit dodgy, or brake pedal. Lift both gently and see if you can engage cruise control.

Good Luck
