Went to check my oil for the first time since buying this car and there is a light colored gummy substance on the end of my dip stick. I can wipe it off and after a few tries get oil on the stick, doesn't happen after it is warm though. Has something been added to the oil to make it gum up or is it a cold weather problem or somekinda break down in the oil? Please anyone ever seen this?

Are you losing coolant? Maybe coolant getting into your oil? I'd definitly change the oil and filter. Maybe the previous owner never changed the oil and filter? I might even remove the crankcase oil pan and clean it out.
