A/c clutch going bad can I replace belt with one from same car with out a/c and leave a/c unit on car and unplug electric with doing any harm to motor

No, not on your car because the pulley locations will cause the belt to rub.

You can buy a bypass pulley and take the entire a/c compressor out and run the belt as normal just use the bypass pulley instead. You can get one for around $35. Otherwise eventually the Clutch will rub and make a loud squealing noise as the clutch is rubbing (you will see metal shavings under the a/c clutch).

I apologize I do not believe you can use a bypass pulley for the 2005 sunfire. I forgot about the year.

A/C bypass pulleys are only offered by one company and only for certain applications and at this time, they do not offer one for this vehicle.
