I have a 2005 pontiac Grand Prix. It keeps losing its engine power. I've cleaned throttle body and made it look brand new inside and also put a can of seafoam in the tank. Reduced engine power message keeps coming up as my wife sits in the middle of the road.
Shutting it off for a minute then restarting it helps for awhile then all over again after awhile

You need to take it to a auto parts store like auto zone and have them scan it for codes. Let me know the exact code numbers you probably have a problem in your throttle control system.

You're having an electronic issue likely with the electronic throttle system. You need to get it into a capable shop for diagnosis. The parts are expensive and can leave you stranded if you ignore it.
