Pontiac Grand Prix Heater Problem

My heating is going out. Sometimes it won't come on at all and when it does, I can't control it with the dials. Can I get what the average cost to replace a heating core, or whatever is going on with it, might be? Thank you!

check heater hoses for both being hot first. if they are then check your actuators in the heater box to see if they are working if they are vacuum check for a vacuum leak. the pic is out of amontana but yours will be similar.
