2005 Nissan Maxima Repair Question
Mileage: 15,200 miles.
Tcs/slip light is on
Answer
Get a scan done to check for trouble codes and post them here.
P0340 is a misfire in cylinder # 4.
P0021 is a fault with the IVT control.
The TCS and Slip indicators are nothing to worry about. Getting the above 2 codes resolved would stop them from coming on.
There are no such thing as best soluion for this. You need to find out what is causing the problem. Both codes could be related.
Check the engine oil level. If engine is heavily sludged, it can occur. Check the spark plugs and ignition coils, especially for cylinder # 4.
i did a tune up and when i went the guy at midas told me the spark plugs wasnt the correct size for my car
Wrong plugs can result in misfirings but it would most probably show multiple misfiring. This can also cause the P0021, so get the misfiring resolved and see if this code is cleared as well.
