2005 Isuzu Rodeo Repair Question

Isuzu Rodeo Starter Problem
My 3.0l tdi starter just clicks repeatedly instead of cranking over. wil start perfectly with a wire from battery to starter lug on starter. please can any one point me in right direction. thankyou

Check battery connections to make sure they are clean and tight and check the connections on the starter. It sounds like you are not making good contact from the battery.
